Carlisle Toy Fair in March 2012

Carlisle Toy Fair is a biannual event now organised by Jim Corr, passionate toy collector and also organiser of the Gateshead and Chester-Le-Street toy fairs.  Carlisle Fairs take place every Spring and Autumn and this means that there’s always fresh stock available.

Jim has taken over the running of the fair from Alan Gunston in 2015.

Jim  Corr has always loved toys and models, he now runs three of the major northern toy, train and sci-fi fairs: in Carlisle, Gateshead and Chester-le-street.

From his small, friendly shop in Durham Indoor Market called Durham Vintage Toys he also sells, buys, part exchanges and swaps a wide range of vintage and modern toys and models including Star Wars, Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox Toys, toy soldiers, military figures, Sci Fi, Comics, Cards and old football programmes.

Toy collection is a national passion. We have people coming down from Scotland and up from Wales and Southern England for the Fair.

The quality of vintage toys has a timeless appeal and people gather from far and wide to admire and purchase them. We have both new and antique toys at the Fair and such a range of types that there’s usually something here for everyone really.

The Carlisle Toy Fair brings together toy collectors and stall holders at the spacious H&H Exhibition Hall at Rosehill, Carlisle. Visitors enjoy free parking and there are refreshments at the hospitable cafeteria.
